An Old Testament Prophet foretells The Catholic Church.

Ex. 34:11-161

(The Prophet Ezekiel is a perfect example of:  An Old Testament Prophet foretells The Catholic Church.)
“Thus says the Lord GOD:
I myself will look after and tend my sheep.  (Jesus, God Himself, will come to earth.)
As a shepherd tends his flock
when he finds himself among his scattered sheep,
so will I tend my sheep.
I will rescue them from every place where they were scattered
when it was cloudy and dark.  (Before His great light came into the world, the people who would be saved were
scattered.  The Tribes of Israel had been scattered from Ireland to India.   They were usually minorities, rarely remembering their common heritage.)
I will lead them out from among the peoples
and gather them from the foreign lands;
I will bring them back to their own country
and pasture them upon the mountains of Israel
in the land’s ravines and all its inhabited places.  (I, Jesus Christ, will find all those who will be saved, or lead them to find Me, and I will bring them back to their own country, which will be The Church that I began when saying to its first Pope:  “Thou art Peter, and on this rock, I build My Church.)
In good pastures will I pasture them,
and on the mountain heights of Israel
shall be their grazing ground.
There they shall lie down on good grazing ground,
and in rich pastures shall they be pastured
on the mountains of Israel.  (Those He has led to Catholicism are the highest people, elevated like mountains, the closest to God among the tribes.  We may think of the saved as Abel, the lost, as Cain.)
I myself will pasture my sheep;
I myself will give them rest, says the Lord GOD.  (I will give them My Body to eat and My Blood to drink so that they may have life in them.)
The lost I will seek out,
the strayed I will bring back,
the injured I will bind up,
the sick I will heal,
but the sleek and the strong I will destroy,
shepherding them rightly.”  (We, who humbly seek God and His forgiveness, will be accepted into eternal joy in Heaven.  Those around us who are too full of themselves to do so, He will send away, as was Cain.)
