Protestantism teaches “Jesus was wrong.” Many believe that: “Jesus should not have said ‘Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’ My Marketing Plan Denomination is just as good, or better, than The Only Church Jesus Founded! If people believe Jesus, I’m out of a job!”
Catholic History is clear. Peter was put in charge, moved The Only Church Jesus Founded to Rome, and was crucified by Nero. Countless tens of thousands of Catholics were painfully killed in Roman persecutions. Still, “the gates of hell” did not prevail.
Revelation 20 predicted “The thousand year reign” of the Catholic Church that lasted from the fall of Rome until “the dragon was unchained from the abyss”. Then, Luther fragmented Christendom into what became 45,000 Marketing Plan Denominations. Each MPD was invented by a marketing man who realized: “I can identify the psychological needs of those seeking self-justification, praise them, and they will give me money!”
Car advertisers promise: “You will look successful and intelligent if you buy the car we’ve designed for the market segment you are in.” 45,000 Marketing Plan Denominations promise Heaven to those who merely repeat “I believe so I am saved!”, even after a third or fourth marriage. No pesky Annulments or Confessions to a Catholic priest!
Marketing Plan Denominations invent variants of the Sacraments provided by The Only Church Jesus Founded. Some insist, “You must be baptized by total immersion!”, ignoring that The Bible never says that. MPDs also ignore the clear call to Catholic Communion Jesus repeated EIGHTEEN TIMES, “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”
Catholic’s sins are forgiven by Catholic priests given that power in Mt. 16: 18-20 and John 20:21. Absolved Catholics receive His Actual Body and Blood in Catholic Communion, and “have life in you”. Protestantism teaches “Jesus was wrong.” about that, too.
