Today is a Great Day! Catholics honor The First Catholic Martyr, St. Stephen. At The Last Supper, Jesus had ordained St. Stephen and The First Catholic Bishops.
Those First Catholic Bishops obeyed The Holy, Church-Founding Word with Which Jesus Spoke The Only Church He Founded Into Being!
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
“Stephen, filled with grace and power, was working great wonders and signs among the people.”
Early anti-Catholics came forward and debated with Stephen, “but they could not withstand the wisdom and the spirit with which he spoke.”

They did what anti-Catholics always do in one way or another!
“When they heard this, they were infuriated, and they ground their teeth at him. But he, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked up intently to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

The witnesses laid down their cloaks at the feet of a young man named Saul.” (Saul later became St. Paul, another Church-Founding Catholic Bishop personally chosen by Jesus!)

Every Catholic prays for the Grace to have our faith “endure to the end”.
