April prayers for our Governor:
It is respectfully suggested that devout Christians pray for our Governor and the First Lady.
Continue our March prayers on this first day of April, asking God to give them the wisdom and courage to keep from being influenced by any who wish to take unseemly advantage.
Catholics, kindly consider saying a Rosary every day, ending each decade and the Rosary, itself, with “Holy Mary, Mother of God, please ask your Son to move Governor Wolf and the First Lady to increased love for God and for all their neighbors. Please give them the insight to discern the motives of those who approach them.”
We may pray that all Christians understand that Democracy provides tough tests for souls. Those elected to positions of authority are among the most rigorously tested. We do not want them to fail because we did not ask God to help them.
Each of us will help by praying that God will lead Governor and Mrs. Wolf to ever more fully heed Christ’s command to “Love God with all your heart and mind and soul and love your neighbors as yourself.”
