Catholics hear the cries of souls beyond.

Catholics hear the cries of souls beyond.  We know that the souls of our parents, grandparents, and all their ancestors blessed us with the life we have.  We are them!

We were put together by angels at our conception, conceived from those who preceded us.

Catholics hear the cries of souls beyond.   Catholics know we must pray for them.  “Those souls need our prayers.  We are grateful to them, good and bad, because they gave us life.”

We know that some of our ancestors did bad things.   That knowledge helped us to avoid doing bad things.  Awareness of their sins helped us to be better people.  So, Catholics do not condemn our ancestors.  We know that they let us be what we are.

Catholics hear the cries of souls beyond.  So, we pray:  “Please, God, bless the souls of all my ancestors and all their descendants.”

We are grateful to God for giving them life.  We are grateful to God for letting them give us life.  We feel the responsibility to ask God to bless them for making us what we are.

“All things are possible with God.” means we must do our duty to thank God and our ancestors.  Catholics hear the cries of souls beyond.

We remind ourselves:  “If we do not pray for the souls of our own ancestors, we are cold-hearted  ingrates!  None of our ancestors were perfect.  No matter how bad they were, they did give us life.  They did let us be good enough to pray!  We must pray for them!”

Catholics know that Jesus “descended into hell and rose again on the third day”.  We know that He unchained the souls locked away until He gave “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” to His obedient servants.

While Jesus may no longer descend into hell to free souls, He may ask St. Michael to do so.  The devil hates it when that happens!
