“All things work together for good.” Even Judas? Every gardener weeds his garden. God has made His Earthly Garden “self- weeding”. When Judas chose to disobey Him, He plucked himself from The Garden and threw himself on the “burn-pile” with the other weeds.
We see that Jesus had “automated” the process of “weeding the garden”. Just as Judas “weeded himself”, he gave many who preferred to follow their own opinions a reason to do so.
Many left Jesus because of Judas’ betrayal. “How could Jesus ‘know everything’ if He let Judas accompany Him for three years? I cannot in trust Jesus because He made such a terrible mistake.”
Every gardener weeds his garden. When we realize how hard it is to pull up a big, bristly weed with our bare hands, we see how brilliantly Jesus has “automated” the weeding. Since Judas, everyone who chooses to be weeds, rather wheat, pulls themselves out of the garden and thrown themselves onto the “burn-pile” by choosing to disobey Jesus.
How do we avoid that fate? We realize that He has let each of us choose where we will spent eternity: “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
His obedient sheep, His useful grains of wheat, obey The Decree By Which He Spoke The Only Church He Founded Into Being:
“Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Those who obediently follow the Teachings of The Only Church He Founded may be blessed to be wheat rather than weeds. Obedient Catholics may be forever among “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
Better to be an obedient Catholic than to throw ourselves onto the “burn-pile” with Judas!
