A new look at Today’s Reading.

The Catholic Fundamentalism approach to Today’s Reading are a few simple vocabulary changes that maintain the ancient meaning while making its reality more apparent to those who are more familiar with current technology than with Iron Age theology. A new look at Today’s Reading.

Psalm 146: 5-6
Blessed he whose help is the God of Jacob (The Loving Programmer), whose hope is in the LORD (The Loving Programmer), his God, Who made heaven and earth (wrote and downloaded the Heaven and Earth Programs and sub-programs), the sea and all that is in them (and the programs for all the living things).
R. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob (The Loving Programmer).

Mt. 13: 47-53
Jesus said to the disciples: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good (human programs that were uncorrupted) into buckets. What is bad (the corrupted human programs) they throw away. Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels (His beloved Programming Assistants) will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”
“Do you understand all these things?” They answered, “Yes.” And he replied, “Then every scribe (even Catholic Fundamentalism’s poor attempts to encourage obedience to The Only Church Jesus Founded) who has been instructed in the Kingdom of heaven (The Loving Programmer, His sub-Programmers, and faithful, obedient followers) is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old.” (The “Old” is the teachings of The Church Jesus Founded. The “New” is merely Catholic Fundamentalism’s updating of words and processes for our age. The current technology updates make the teachings of The Church more readily grasped by moderns who have been separated from it.)
When Jesus finished these parables, He went away from there.
