Isaiah and The Psalms lead Catholics to two ‘hidden Teachings’ in Today’s Word of Jesus!
~
Question 1: “What hard question does The Prophet Isaiah ask every person on earth?”
Answer: “In Isaiah 40:25-31, The Prophet Isaiah asks every person: ‘To whom can you liken Me as an equal? says The Holy One.’ By answering That Question, we see where we stand with God.”
~
Question 2: “How does God’s Prophet tell us to answer that?”
Answer: “He tells us what we must do! ‘Lift up your eyes on high and see Who has created these things: He leads out their army and numbers them, calling them all by name.’”
~
Question 3: “What does God’s Prophet do next?”
Answer: “He asks those who say they believe in God another question! ‘Why, O Jacob, do you and Israel declare: ‘My way is hidden from The Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God?’”
~
Question 4: “Are those who ‘hide’ themselves from Any Word of God guilty of disobeying Him?”
Answer: “Isaiah askes a third question! ‘Do you not know or have you not heard? The Lord is The Eternal God, creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint nor grow weary, and His knowledge is beyond scrutiny.’”
~
Question 5: “What benefit is there to believing in God meaningfully enough to obey His Teachings?”
Answer: “‘He gives strength to the fainting; for the weak he makes vigor abound. Though young men faint and grow weary, and youths stagger and fall, they that hope in The Lord will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings; they will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.’”
~
Question 6: “Do The Psalms agree that we should work hard to know and obey God?”
Answer: “Psalms 103 1-4, 8, and 10 tell us that!
‘Bless The Lord O my soul; and all my being, bless His holy name. Bless The Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.’
‘He pardons all your iniquities, He heals all your ills. He redeems your life from destruction, He crowns you with kindness and compassion.'”
‘Merciful and gracious is The Lord, slow to anger and abounding in kindness. Not according to our sins does He deal with us, nor does He requite us according to our crimes.’
Catholics respond to Those Psalsm by saying: ‘O bless The Lord, my soul!’”
~
Question 7: “What did Jesus tell us to do to save our soul?”
Answer: “There are two ‘hidden Teachings’ in Mt. 11:28-30! “‘Jesus said to the crowds: ‘Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.'”
~
Question 8: “What is the ‘hidden Teaching’ in that Passage?”
Answer: “Jesus is only calling people who work! Those who are too lazy to ‘labor’ and are not ‘burdened’ are not mentioned by Jesus!”
~
Question 9: “What does Jesus bless those who are blessed to be ‘burdened’ with ‘labor’?”
Answer: “Jesus tells us to: ‘Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’”
~
Question 10: “What is the ‘hidden Teaching’ in That Word of Jesus?”
Answer: “His ‘yoke is easy and His burden is light’ because His ‘yoke’ and His ‘burden’ are actually made of the ‘light’ that is His Word!”
~
May all be blessed to see those two “hidden Teachings” in That Word of Jesus! They help us understand that our immortal soul is made of the “living light” that is the Word of God living in us. For many, that is another “hidden Teaching”!
