Matthew 22: 8-14 is avoided by those whose simple thoughts of salvation go no farther than: “I believe in Jesus and The Bible so I am saved.” That over-simplification is so silly that it leads souls more open to God toward thinking seriously about what Jesus and The Bible actually teach. Smarter people take time to ponder Protestantism’s profoundest problem:
“Then He said to His servants, ‘The wedding is ready; but as those who were invited proved to be unworthy, go to the main crossroads and invite everyone you can find to come to the wedding.’ So these servants went out onto the roads and collected together everyone they could find, bad and good alike; and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

When the King came in to look at the guests He noticed one man who was not wearing a wedding garment, and said to him, ‘How did you get in here, my friend, without a wedding garment?’ And the man was silent. Then the King said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and throw him into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.’ For many are invited but not all are chosen.”

Everyone asks: What had the man chosen not to wear? Catholics understand: the man had refused to don the garments of humble obedience. Such souls reflect light poorly, like burned out or dim bulbs. The King immediately saw its discordance amidst the glowing souls of the obedient.

Protestantism’s problem: What to wear? God’s light is transmitted to earthly souls through the Sacraments of The Only Church He Founded. We know this because He said “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Catholic Sacraments are “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.” First, forgiveness by Catholic priests, as described in Mt. 16:18-20 and John 20:23. Then, His Body and Blood are provided to the obedient faithful. As He said, EIGHTEEN TIMES, “if you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”
