Seventh Sunday of Easter
Reading 1
Acts 1:12-14
After Jesus had been taken up to heaven the apostles
returned to Jerusalem
from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem,
a sabbath day’s journey away.
When they entered the city
they went to the upper room where they were staying,
Peter and John and James and Andrew,
Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew,
James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot,
and Judas son of James.
All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer,
together with some women,
and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

whom should I fear?

To dwell in the house of the LORD

That I may gaze on the loveliness of the LORD
and contemplate his temple.

have pity on me, and answer me.

1 Pt 4:13-16Reading II
Beloved:
Rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ,
so that when his glory is revealed
you may also rejoice exultantly.
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you,
for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
But let no one among you be made to suffer
as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as an intriguer.
But whoever is made to suffer as a Christian should not be ashamed
but glorify God because of the name.
Jn 17:1-11aGospel
Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said,
“Father, the hour has come.
Give glory to your son, so that your son may glorify you,
just as you gave him authority over all people,
so that your son may give eternal life to all you gave him.
Now this is eternal life,
that they should know you, the only true God,
and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
I glorified you on earth
by accomplishing the work that you gave me to do.
Now glorify me, Father, with you,
with the glory that I had with you before the world began.
“I revealed your name to those whom you gave me out of the world.
They belonged to you, and you gave them to me,
and they have kept your word.
Now they know that everything you gave me is from you,
because the words you gave to me I have given to them,
and they accepted them and truly understood that I came from you,
and they have believed that you sent me.
I pray for them.
I do not pray for the world but for the ones you have given me,
because they are yours, and everything of mine is yours
and everything of yours is mine,
and I have been glorified in them.
And now I will no longer be in the world,
but they are in the world, while I am coming to you.”
Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:
After Jesus (The Program, Who took perfect, obedient, human form to download on earth the access pathway to The Loving Programmer) went back to Programming HQ, the apostles returned to Jerusalem from nearby Mount Olivet, not farther away than one could walk on the Sabbath.
When they got there, they went to the upper room, and devoted themselves to accessing The Loving Programmer, together with some women, Mary, The Mother of Jesus through which the Holy Download took place, and Jesus’s cousins and/or step-brothers.
I believe I will see The Loving Programmer while I’m in the physical part of The Creation Program.
The Loving Programmer lets me understand more about The Program and how I can become an eternal part of it. Who can do more for me than that?
I believe I will see The Loving Programmer while I’m in the physical part of The Creation Program.
I ask The Loving Programmer do do this one thing for me, to let me dwell in His Programming HQ forever so that I may see Him and His Being and Operation.
I believe I will see The Loving Programmer while I’m in the physical part of The Creation Program.
Hear, O Loving Programmer, the sound of my call, have pity on me, and answer me. Of you, every part of my human program resonates as I search for You.
I believe I will see The Loving Programmer while I’m in the physical part of The Creation Program.
Beloved, be glad that others are trying to erase you, as they did The Living Embodiment of The Program when He took human form and came among us. If you choose to suffer for His sake, when His Glory is made accessible to all, you may exult.
If you are insulted for His name, you are blessed, because The Loving Programmer has gifted you.
But, don’t disobey the earthly laws.
If you suffer for accessing, downloading, and obeying The Program’s downloads, don’t be ashamed, but thank The Loving Programmer for His great Name.
Jesus, The Program Who took perfect, obedient, human form and came among us, raised His eyes to Programming HQ and said, “O Loving Programmer, The Creation Program has run to the appointed hour. Give glory to Your Program so that The Program may glorify The Programmer. Just as you wrote The Program with more power than the other human programs, so The Program may be downloaded by, and upload, all those who access and obey The Operating Instructions.
If they know You, The Loving Programmer, and Me, The Program, they will live with You forever. I glorified You on earth by obeying Your Operating Instructions (to the end!), now, Loving Programmer, glorify Your Program with You with the glory I had with You before The Creation Program was downloaded.
I gave Your access code to those You gave me, choosing them out of the world. They belonged to You, and You gave them to Me, and they have obeyed The Operating Instructions.
Now, they know that everything You gave Me is from You (Who wrote The Program) because the access codes You gave Me, I have given to them, and they accepted them and truly understood that I, The Program, came from The Loving Programmer. They believed that You sent Me.
I ask you to provide them Programming Assistance. I don’t care about those who choose not to find and obey Your Instructions, but only for those You’ve given Me, because they are Yours, and everything in The Program is there because of You, The Loving Programmer, and everything You programmed is in Me and I have been glorified in these obedient, faithful, human programs. And, I won’t be in the world, but they are, while I am coming to You.
