We learn: Jesus has the power to “open minds” IF we let Him!

Luke 24:35-48 tells us something important!  We learn that Jesus has The Power to get inside our brain!  He is able to “open minds”!

“The two disciples recounted what had taken place on the way, and how Jesus was made known to them in the breaking of bread.”

That was the First Catholic Communion after The Last Supper.  It is so important that the emphasis was added!

~

“While they were still speaking about this, He stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

Their reaction was understandable!

“But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost.  Then He said to them, “Why are you troubled?”

Then, He asked them another hard question!  “And why do questions arise in your hearts?”

He challenged them!   “Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.  Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.  And as He said this, He showed them His hands and his feet.  While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, He asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?”  They gave him a piece of baked fish;   He took it and ate it in front of them.”

He gave them all that proof that He was truly resurrected from the dead!

Then, He reminded every Christian that He had Fulfilled The Prophecies!

“He said to them, ‘These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about Me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.’”

What did Jesus Christ do next?   “Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.”

May the minds of our beloved Protestant neighbors be “opened”!   Only “opened minds” are able to gratefully obey This Scripture from Jesus Christ!

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
