May we all be blessed to let Jesus “straighten out” OUR “body parts”! #53.

The Power of Jesus can let us all stand up straight before God at Judgment.

~

Question 1: “Does Jesus tell us to control our ‘body parts’ in Romans 8:12-16?”

Answer: “That is clear! ‘Brothers and sisters, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.’

~

Question 2: “If we are to ‘live by the spirit’ and ‘put to death the deeds of the body’, what do we gain?”

Answer: “Heaven! Evil spirits live in the parts of our brain that are connected to our ‘body parts’ If we let them lead us into sin, we make it impossible for our soul to spend eternity in Heaven.”

~

Question 3: “Does The Old Testament validate that?”

Answer: “Psalm 68, 2,4, 6,7, 20-21 includes: ‘Blessed day by day be The Lord, who bears our burdens; God, who is our salvation. God is a saving God for us; The Lord, my Lord, controls the passageways of death.’

Catholics respond: ‘Our God is The God of salvation.’

Question 4: “Does Jesus give an example of His Power to heal those who are ‘crippled by a spirit’ that keeps ‘body parts’ from working properly?”

Answer: Luke 13:10-17 tells us of His Power to cure ‘body parts’ that have been ‘crippled’! ‘Jesus was teaching in a synagogue on the sabbath. And a woman was there who for eighteen years had been crippled by a spirit; she was bent over, completely incapable of standing erect.’

~

Question 4: “What did Jesus do?”

Answer: “‘When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, ‘Woman, you are set free of your infirmity.’. He laid his hands on her, and she at once stood up straight . .’

~

Question 5: “What is the first thing that woman did?

Answer: “She ‘glorified God.’!

~

Question 6: “Were the clergy glad to see The Power of Jesus at work?”

Answer: “Some could not admit that Jesus was a far Higher Power than they! ‘But the leader of the synagogue, indignant that Jesus had cured on the Sabbath, said to the crowd in reply, ‘There are six days when work should be done. Come on those days to be cured, not on the Sabbath Day.’

~

Question 7: “What did Jesus say to him and to all self-serving clergy?”

Answer: “‘The Lord said to him in reply, ‘Hypocrites! Does not each one of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his ass from the manger and lead it out for watering?

‘This daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound for eighteen years now, ought she not to have been set free on the Sabbath Day from this bondage?’

~

Question 7: “How did the crowd respond when they saw that Jesus had cured the ‘body parts’ of a woman ‘crippled by a spirit’?”

Answer: “‘When He said this, all His adversaries were humiliated; and the whole crowd rejoiced at all the splendid deeds done by Him.’

May we all be blessed to ask The Holy Spirit to drive away the demons that “cripple” our minds and bodies by convncing us that gratifying our ‘body parts’ is more important than obeying The God Who Blessed us with life in The Creation He Spoke Into Being with His Holy Word.
